The week after we return from spring break we will begin Mileage Club. What is Mileage Club? It is known as the FGMC (Feelin' Good Mileage Club); it is an incentive-based fitness program that gets kids moving! The students are encouraged to walk, jog or run around a course on the playground during their lunch recess as well as in PE class. It will begin April 17 and end on May 5. Each student will be given a brightly colored shoelace and a mileage club card, which must stay at school until the program is completed. For each lap the students complete, they will get their card hole-punched. Once they complete a card, they will be given a foot token as well as a free entry ticket to the Fifth Third Junior, which will be held on Wednesday, May 10. It’s a really neat experience for the kids. It is a non-competitive fun run which takes place at Wyoming High School. All participants receive a t-shirt, participant bib, finisher gift and post event refreshments! Put it on your calendar:) The top 25 students will earn a medal and the class who completes the most laps will win a pizza party!
