Below is Mrs. Dunn's class first day of volleyball. The K-1 students began with a balloon workout. Here are some examples of what they were asked to do using their balloon: stand in front of, stand behind, walk backwards, straddle, jog around, hop on one foot, jump over, gallop around your neighbors, skip around, crab walk around, frog jumps, make a bridge, leap over, run around, bear walk, jumping jacks next to etc.
They learned that the word volley means to Keep it Up in the air. They practiced volleying using different body parts such as finger, head, knee, toe, hands, elbow.
We practice our serving form using balloons.
Last they learned that in volleyball the ball must go over the net so we played a game of clean your room.
